About KSHPRM
KSHPRM — pronounced “Kishpurm” — offers a welcoming, collaborative space where healthcare communicators, marketers, designers, storytellers, strategists and creative professionals from across the commonwealth come together. Through education, networking and shared expertise, our organization supports you as you navigate the evolving world of healthcare communication. Whether you’re staying ahead of emerging trends, expanding your creative skill set, building new relationships or growing your career, you’ll find a supportive and inspiring community here.
What We Offer
Professional development focused on strengthening communication and creative skills through in-person events, virtual learning and hands-on experiences.
Statewide networking, giving you the chance to meet, collaborate and exchange ideas with communications, marketing and creative peers across Kentucky.
Recognition of your work, offering meaningful opportunities to highlight your talent, achievements and impact within your organization and across the state.
Participation
KSHPRM welcomes a broad community of professionals. Individuals responsible for PR, marketing, communications and creative content development for hospitals, healthcare providers, health systems, councils and associations are eligible to participate. This includes everyone from content creators, graphic designers, copywriters and creative strategists to coordinators, managers and department leaders.
We also warmly welcome healthcare-related marketing and PR partners, including advertising and marketing agencies, creative studios, consultants, freelancers, contractors, medical writers, planning and development firms and other organizations that support healthcare communication.
Thoroughbred Awards
Our annual Thoroughbred Awards honor excellence in healthcare marketing, communications and creative work. The competition allows you to showcase your talent across a wide spectrum of categories, all judged using a fair, points-based rubric.
Award categories include photography, writing, digital media, print publications, events, advertising, campaigns, public relations and other creative disciplines — making it an exciting way to highlight your best work, gaining recognition from peers across the industry and leadership within your organization.
